Tips On Picking An Awesome Web Host
So you have probably been working on your website all night long and now its ready! Your ready to get it on the web and let everyone see it right? Only there is one problem. You don’t have a hosting provider! Even worse, you don’t know who to pick for your hosting needs. There are just too many companies. . .
I’m here to alleviate your worries and get you on the right track. Below are some general tips I use to find and pick a good, reliable web host.
1. Finding Them
Finding a good web host can take some time. I would first recommend you start with the three major search engines: Google, Yahoo, & Bing. Find reviews and read them. You can also make comparisons on several websites. Use the tools that the websites give you!
Alternatively you can choose forums. I really, really recommend joining a forum and using it to find a hosting provider. You can find some seriously good hosting only offered exclusively to forum members. This will open a whole new world for you.
2. Creating A List
Choosing a provider is easy once you have a list of what you want. So I suggest you write a list of what you’ll need. What software will you need? How often will you need that software updated? Are you going to need a lot of support? Just some general questions can you help you get started.
3. Budget
Keep with in a budget. You need to set one and stick to it. Hosting can get expensive over-time and you also don’t want to pay for a huge increase in traffic that takes it all. You also don’t want to overspend. So the best way to come up with a budget is to look at what you will need and see the standard pricing.
4. Coupons
Web hosting companies always have coupons! They always do and you should be using them. Just take a quick search on your favorite search engine and find a coupon that is working. Remember to ask if you can use coupons after you’ve purchased hosting too. Saving money on your hosting is always a good idea.
